tis the season...

It's sad that I neglected this for over a week. You know those mental to-do lists, it was on there to write about several things...but it got pushed aside by the the Christmas hoopla. Oh! and being sick.

So, shopping, wrapping and coughing. Coughing is not high on my list.

But, many good things have happend too. I got a nice little bonus, got a vacation approved and I get to go to VEGAS to see my mother get married. UMMM...let's see what else in a nut shell... my project at work!

A few months ago I started OPERATION: SOCKS FOR VETS at work and in the community. Since I work as a wound/ podiatry nurse and I had this wonderful idea, if I don't say so myself, to collect socks to help teach veterans basic foot care. No I don't have a foot fetish, that joke's 2 short months I have collected about 1,000 pairs of white cotton socks. Pretty darn amazing. On top of that, a local H-D shop found out about my sock drive, which led to me getting over a $1,000 worth of brand new clothes donated for needy veterans. So, if I neglected to write, that's why. My project at work has done very well and I have been pretty consumed with getting it rolling and have since decided to make it a year round project.

So, that's a little bit of my week. Not ready for Christmas, busy at work and sick.

Well Done on your sock project at work! Next time I'm in town I'll have to make a donation! Happy new year to you and your family!
