It was like 1992...

Well, JC and I did something that I haven't done since 1992. What? Think loud music, IOU sweat shirts, tight rolled faded jeans, waterfall bangs, hair metal and sore legs. More clues? I feel like I should listen to YAZ now.

We went roller skating!
I haven't done that in so long. Actual roller skates. No wimpy roller blades. Old-school. I loved it, JC was mixed with it. AS you might be able to tell:

It just made me think of all the hours we spent skating growing up. Every Friday night and some times Saturdays. We loved going, we loved skating, where else were "tweens" to go in a small town? The roller rink! We'd get all dressed up in our jeans ( we couldn't afford Z cavaricci's) put make up on, IOU sweat shirts and we'd skate our butts off. Of course we'd have a little drama with other girl friends, boy friends and sit and watch the high school girls make out in the corners. Telling ya, lots of fun. It was sex education. That's where I learned what a hickey was too... Who would have thought 15 + years later, I'd miss it.

psst.. and I can still skate backwards...donut rawks!!

We took the kids roller skating a couple of months ago. It was so much fun but take note- 3 & 4 year olds are a tad too young to skate.

I'm so jealous! I want to have a skating party with nasty cold nachos and flat Bubble-Up! Can we please?

That is so funny! I love roller skating. I bought both of my kids roller skates for Christmas this year, and plan on taking them to the rink. They skate around the house right now!! Thanks for sharing! Loved reading the blog!!
