I guess it's all about the lighting...

My husband and I were getting ready to go out one night and I had spent my typical hour and half getting ready. Yes it's seems long, but I change outfits like 3 times. Of course this all includes shower, shaving, drying hair, makeup and curling hair. THEN the wardrobe changes which annoy the sinking piss out of my husband.

So there I stood, having made a decision on what to wear, feeling good about my choice, liking what I saw in the mirror. Pumped up ready to go out with my best friend, my husband, without the boy. I turned and looked at him as I shut the kitchen light off on our way out the door. He stops me under the back door light and pulls me back into the "shade" of the kitchen. There I was thinking wow that's kinda of exciting, is he gonna kiss me? Hug me? What?

Yeah... nope....

HIM: You look good in this light.

ME: What? in the dark?

HIM: Yeah.

ME: Thanks...let's make sure we eat some where dark then.

HIM: I didn't mean it like that...

ME: I spent time getting ready for what? to look good in the dark. I'm screwed if we go somewhere with fluorescent lighting!

So if you're ever looking for me...I'll be the chick with crooked eyebrows sitting in the dark corner of the place looking good.

I love any place with dim lighting for this very same reason...

Alright, That's it! This is the 3rd blog I've read about people getting dressed and going out with their husbands! Do you know how long it's been since I've been alone with my husband?!?! I'm making it top priority in Denver!
