ick..chores...

Cleaning used to be my "deal with frustration" method. I'd get upset, storm off and scrub the tub, the floors or at the time iron everything. To me it was a way to deal with being upset, but I now know it was my way, yet again, of avoidance. Since then, I have dreaded cleaning. Really, things I used to enjoy doing or at least didn't mind doing I cannot stand any longer. Is it that I associate them with being upset now or am I just damn lazy? Wait don't answer that...

I go through phases of cleaning. One week everything is kinda spotless, the next a tornado went through. Suppose it has to do with work and being tired as all hell? Usually dishes were my least favorite. Why not put them in the dishwasher? Hmmm...If you have one, you're lucky. Unfortunately, I have never had the wonderful, non-dry skin pleasure of having such an appliance. While it was only yesterday we got a washing machine...

But that trend has changed as well, this past month I haven't minded doing dishes so I can't say that they are my least favorite anymore. Laundry? oh heck-a-do. Our basement is a disaster. We have no dirty clothes at this moment...the problem? They are all in 4 baskets in a huge pile. Wow, talk about anxiety and panic every time I look at them.Really, my husband can't bring all baskets up for me to fold, because I feel way to overwhelmed. Yes, I'm crazy...

Scrubbing toilets, tubs and sinks? No problem, I don't mind doing that either. My new least favorite, mostly because it still hurts to bend over, is vacuuming and scrubbing/washing the floors. Even sweeping is a hassle now. We have hoovers, swiffers, dusters, mops and cleaning supplies for the floors, but the thought of using them, well eeeww. I'd rather fold clothes and that's saying alot.

So I'll trade scrubbing someone's tubs if they mop my floors...what's your least favorite chore?

wow, I didn't even think about outside chores..I'd rather do those in a heart beat!

Oh, I don't like mopping OR scrubbing the bathroom. I don't mind doing dishes (yeah, we don't have a dishwasher- I'm the dishwasher!)

I don't mind doing laundry. I hate cleaning the kitchen floor. Mostly because I really should do it several times a day. As much as I do it, it always seems dirty. Ugh!

Waving hands in the air for no dishwasher here either...

I was recently loading my mom's dishwasher, and I thought, Holy crap - how easy is THIS?!

I'll do any and everyone of those things you mentioned........BUT I hate hate hate hate hate doing white clothes. I can't stand how the socks always get lost, I am always missing a few, and it is such a waste of my precious life.....can I stress how much I hate doing white clothes?

Dusting, why because you have to pick everything up move it, dust then put it all back. What a pain in the butt. I try not to keep a lot of stuff out just for that reason.

My home is exactly the same, one week good, one week bad!!! I recently hired someone to help out once every 2 weeks and found it is soooooooooooooo worth it. I do find myself up cleaning, energy or not, the night before help is due. On the nights before help arrives and I don't do anything, I leave an extra $20 and an apology, all is well!!!

My least favorite: toilets. Or anything in the bathroom, for that matter. My cousin has a cleaning business and gives me a great rate, so luckily I don't have to do much in the bathrooms myself. It's a good thing, too... I might be tempted to make people use the drain in the garage just so I wouldn't have to clean up after them.

Cleaning the bathroom!! ew! When I went back to work I hired an inexpensive cleaning service to come in once a month. It's SOOOOO worth it. The first Tuesday of every month is such a lovely day around here!!
