Later that night, we had JC's open house at school. To our surprise, his teacher doesn't seem to be the devil in disguise such as last year's teacher. This woman actually had nice, positive things to about JC. Hopefully, fingers crossed, with saying a million prayers a day, this year will with go much smoother.
Friday nothing spectacular occurred other than JC's school being canceled in the early afternoon due to lack of power. The best thing? Mom left work early and did the happy dance the entire way home, through flooded roads and all. Luckily it didn't take me an hour to get home like it did to get there in the first place. Did I mention we got a lot of rain here?
Saturday was a late start, but we went miniature golfing at a soon to be closing fun center. We had a blast! Perfect weather, hole- in -one's and Mom forgot her camera... We are going to miss it when it closes, it's land is soon to house more shopping in an area that doesn't need anymore retail stores! What about family fun? Not here, stores are more important than family fun.
Later a family walk to the park and the local symphony was playing! Music in the park on a wonderful evening. Finally, no rain!

One of the many light pictures my husband and I took while waiting for the concert to start. Our park had these nice light posts that are great to photograph...
Sunday took us to Fair Oaks Farm...more on that tomorrow...I'm tired!

Fair Oaks Farms is really fun, hope you have the grilled cheese & ice cream, there are great! We've done a lot of work down there for them.
That was a big tree, you are very lucky that went the other way. I can't believe the weather here, I hope it's done raining and storming for awhile.
You have been very busy. So glad no one got hurt when the tree up rooted. It sounds like you had a fun weekend. Glad JC is doing well in school and his teacher seems ok. That should make you feel a little better.
The Fun Center in Griffith/scher. on US41? Too sad, that was always a good place to go, one of the few with batting cages around here! Glad to hear you got to enjoy this weekend, enjoy your much needed/deserved rest!
It must have been freaky to come home to a tree in our driveway!
