Christmas Hoopla

The 12 things of Christmas Hoopla.
Amy from oh me,oh my,my wonderful men tagged me.

Amy, I was going to tell you how much Internet love I have for you, but well, that would be just awkward wouldn't it? NO? Well, I do, I love you.
I've had Internet love from the first time we met at our fiesta bloggy meet up. You had me at "Crooked Eyebrow, you are, like real!"

So Amy, I will complete this non- meme hoopla just for you...
(wow I shouldn't have drank MT. DEW today, I'm already goofy to begin with, then I added sugar)

1. List 12 random things about yourself that has to do with Christmas.
2. Please refer to it as a hoopla not the dreaded "m" word.
3. You have to specifically tag someone when you're done, no leaving it open.
4. Do it as quickly as possible. The Christmas season will be over soon so let's get as many people tagged as possible.

1. First thing that comes to mind about Christmas? Not being able to sleep in on Christmas morning as a child and waking everyone in the house up like at 3 in the morning to check to see if Santa came. My sister loved me for that. I was always so blissfully anxious for Christmas morning.

2. Amy Grant's Christmas CD. Every year for as long as I could remember, my mother would decorate the tree while listening to this CD. My sister and Mother helped me put up my decorations this year, we didn't have that CD and things just didn't seem right.

3. I love giving gifts, but have a hard time accepting them now as an adult. Unless it's a coach purse of course.

4. One year for Christmas, I hope to be on a vacation and not have to worry about any holiday hoopla. It isn't the reason for the season. So,I want my family to be on a warm, sunny vacation to enjoy each other.

5. One year I found all my Christmas presents, unwrapped them and sealed them back up. I was so disappointed in myself for doing that, it took all the fun out of it. My hard working mother was probably wondering why I wasn't as excited about my first camera. I was, she just wasn't there to see my first reaction. I learned my lesson. No more spoiling surprises!

6. I used to enjoy wrapping presents, so I would wrap everyone's for them. Now? I don't have time to be bothered with getting creative. That kinda stinks.

7. To my husband: Christmas Eve 1999, wow. I never forget, wow. Is it hot in here ladies?

8. I can't wait to see JC give me his secret Santa shop gift on Christmas. He's so excited. I think it's the same necklace from last year.... I love him so much, I just wish he could stay so sweet and loving forever.

9. I may joke about wanting expensive things, but really, I'm completely satisfied with what I have. It's just fun to dream. Except new kitchen cabinets, or a new house, that's not a joke.

10. Christmas always reminds me of the disappointment with my father. But, yet this time of year makes me so thankful that JC has a father who will never disappoint him. That pain never goes away.

11. Christmas reminds me of Grandmas. Every year we would go to my one grandmother's on Christmas Eve and the other one's house Christmas day. Both of my Grandma's have since passed. Christmas doesn't seem the same since. I still have a very hard time going back to Grandma's house, even with Grandpa there. Things are always better with Grandma I suppose...

12. Christmas is in how many days? Where did the year go? Come back 2007! Here is to hoping things are great in 2008!

I tag...
Lynette from A day in the life of the ordinary

and

Milk & Honey

so, go visit these hilarious ladies and tell them that Crooked Eyebrow tagged them for a Christmas hoopla!

This was a great Hoopla...I love Coach too! I still carry my Coach that my beautiful daughter gave me for Christmas last year...I have Never carried a purse this long without changing. It still looks new too. I hope my grand-kids feel the same about coming to my house too, like you did. Merry Christmas!

Oh you are so sweet, I think it's o.k. to say I love you. It made me smile and feel so warm and fuzzy. Love ya too.

Back to bloggy business, great 12 things, 1999? Um, how old is JC? Does that math all work out I wonder.

Thanks for playing.
