Crooked's random foo (blah, blah, blah)

Time for me to share my random thoughts again, hold on to your socks ladies and gents, it's sure to be a roller coaster of excitement. Not. You'll laugh, you'll want to cry or maybe never come back to visit me. I must say, that would make me sad. Very, very sad, so moving on...

* It's only Thursday. Nuff' said.
* If I could create the perfect work environment for my self, I would sit in a nice leather couch all day,in my flannel pj pants and never have to deal with crazy/lazy co-workers ever again. Kinda hard to do nursing from a nice comfy couch though. Maybe I should go back for mental health. They have couches. I'm all about the couches today.
*40 more days till Mexico. Sweet. I'm ready for fruity drinks, warmth, more drinks, swimming and more luscious drinks. Oh, yeah, the wedding too...
*Pass the cotton balls, I need to stuff my ears, the people around me today are talking SO loud. For a chick with 1 bad ear, it's kinda ironic for me to think people are talking loud. Yeah, if I have never mentioned it, at one point in my life I had little to no hearing in my right ear. After several surgeries, my hearing is mucho bettero.
* Huh?
* Is it wrong to Google your ex's when you are bored? I did it recently, which made me wonder, who googles me? Was I ever that important to someone that they want to find out about what happened to me?
*I was upset at my Christmas decorations this year. So upset, I'm getting all choked up about it just thinking of it. You see, our Christmas stuff is stored elsewhere and when we opened up the storage container, a snow globe had broken all over my garland. All of my garland for the curtain rods, bookcases and entertainment center was full of mold. Garbage. All my favorite stuff in the box was ruined. Very upsetting. My house doesn't seem right without it. Bummer, I suppose there is always next year.
* JC told his Baba the other night over breakfast that she needed to get Life line. "Help I've fallen and I can't get up" actually came out of his mouth. Luckily, he has a Baba with a sense of humor.
* JC is one of the funniest kids I have ever known, yes I'm partial to him since I gave birth to his big head, but still. The kid is funny.
* One technological advance that I love and I do mean LOVE, is online banking. Except when my bank changes things, and I now find myself being locked out of my account with out being able to transfer money when I need to. GRRReeat...
*I work with a bunch of "one uppers". No matter what you bring into a conversation, they have to "one up" ya. "I just bought a great camera the other day" is what I said and it is was closely followed up with "Well I just got the cannon blah blah blah and I spent $2,423,243 on it and the photographs are amazing". Why? Why do people need to feel insecure with themselves that they feel the need to one up you on everything you make comments about? Kinda annoying, just sayin'. It makes the lunch room conversation kinda intolerable. Time to start eating in my car again...
* I feel whiny now.
* After work drinks take place in T-1 hour. Margaritas here I come.
* Merry Christmas. Just in case I forget to tell you all, which I'm sure I won't but still. Just in case.
* I have yet to watch National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation yet this holiday. Maybe that's why I'm not feeling like it's Christmas yet. Some have A Christmas Story, I have Christmas Vacation. Mr. Crookedeyebrow has it memorized, I find that very cute about him.
*There are somethings I would like to share on my blog, but feel I can't, or that it may be too personal. Kinda defeats the purpose huh?
*I can't stand Rachel Ray, JC actually refers to her as "motor mouth" and he can't stand to see her on TV. I think a drinking game can be made out of her show. Every time you see her dust her hands off over a dish, take a shot. Every time she says "evoo" like a moron, take 2 shots. When she says "yumm-o" like a toddler, take a shot. Hell, you'd be so snickered with in the first 10 minutes you won't care how annoying she is.
* We are Alton Brown fans. Word.
* I am a fan of Ace of Cakes, Iron Chef and a few others...
*I have a secret, I'm never going to hear the end of this one being a woman and all, I despise Oprah. Seriously. When I'm at the grocery store and I see her on the cover each month, it literally makes me sick. I feel the same with Martha Stewart, her even more so. I'm not sure, but after saying that, I may not be considered a woman. Boob check. Yup, I still got 'em.
* Well, I was honest and open about that, I feel better.
* I have another secret. It's shameful to admit, but I will change it. I have never voted. Please don't lecture me, I've heard it enough. I will go register to vote like a big adult now. See? I'm just being open and honest here. I know it's bad...
*T-10 minutes till after work holiday drinks. Please give me 2 margaritas. Peach.
* I haven't smoked in like forever, I don't even miss it anymore. I just thought I'd share. If you smoke, give it a whirl and try to quit. Everything just seems better. I can smell again!
* Are you still reading this? Kinda long.
* Thank you for visiting, come again. and again. and again.

You just ruined Rachael Ray for me! She's my treadmill entertainment and now I'm going to have to start drinking instead of walking. She can be a little much though. I'm with you on Ms. Martha, I HATE the woman. She's rude and arrogant and by the way, KMart sucks major booty. You want a drinking game?...shoot one every time Martha interrupts her guests...so annoying! And, why in the world would Jon Voight want to appear on her show? Ok, I feel better!

*giggle* You rock my socks!!

RR...love her meals, can't stand her motor mouth. I get the cookbooks and turn off the tube ;) Alton Brown is...well, he's not at the top either. Although I AM all about the Iron Chef...YEAH, baby.

I've been smoke free for about...um...WOW...a YEAR now! Just as long as I've been uterus free! I don't miss it, either...

I hate Oprah too!!! Never EVER watcheded her!! Blech.

Okay...must go get back to my list!

Honesty is great...more people should try it. I think it takes a pretty cool person to say what they think, honestly what they think and not what people want to hear.

I'm with you on the Oprah thing (I've never even watched her show, but just the fact that everyone does and talks about it made me want to rebel and never watch it), and Rachael Ray does get to me (mosty because I really hate to cook.) In fact, I'm throwing myself a birthday party (how sad is that) tomorrow, and I'm serving sloppy joes and chips. That's class for ya'!

I love your "random" posts! Every item has me giggling. Love your Rachael Ray description. She is kind of annoying, but I tolerate her since she got her start in the Albany (NY) area, where I grew up. Martha Stewart, however...not so tolerable! She ruined a Thanksgiving one year when I decided to try her turkey recipe (using a cheesecloth over top the turkey). It was a disaster, and I'm not that bad in the kitchen. Her directions were terrible. I vowed to never use her recipes again. And I can hold a grudge, believe me!

About the secrets..."There are somethings I would like to share on my blog, but feel I can't, or that it may be too personal." Me too! I always thought it would be great to have a "alter ego" blog, one that I never tell my friends or family about, a blog that just hangs out there on the web hoping someone will discover it. Then I can post some things that I haven't and won't tell my family. My mother reads my blog so there are some things I just don't talk about.....

Thanks for another great read! Have a wonderful weekend! Katie

I love your random thoughts. I wish I could let it out like you do.
40 more days till Mexico, you have to be so excited. Getting away is always helps when you can't take the co-workers any more.

I should be sleeping in this morning, but here I sit glued to your random thoughts....I love Christmas Vacation too and haven't watched it yet this year...I have new Rachel Ray cookware, but that's because I like the color...she does get on my nerves sometimes. She was on Oprah yesterday and I watched at 11:00 to fall asleep last night. Oprah, I can take or leave now. I use to adore her. The comment JC made cracked me up...Just keep writing your thoughts and I will keep reading...very entertaining girl.

I used to like Rachael Ray until I visited some Rachael Ray Sucks livejournal community, and it made me start noticing irritating things about her.

Oh, and we lub some Alton Brown. My husband has a man-crush on him.

I cracked up when you said, "I gave birth to his big head." Too funny!

Also, I don't care for RR much, hate one-uppers (haaaaaaaate) but am so in love with Oprah. I do love her so.

We can still be bloggy friends, though, right? We could sit down to fruity drinks while watching Christmas Vacation, because I too love that.

:o)

I'm with ya on RR, and my affinity for O diminishes every :screaming: episode.

You talking about one-uppers reminds me of the SNL skit...seen that one?
