he knows when you 've been bad or not...

He knows when you've been bad or not, so be good for goodness sake!

Santa has lists, he checks them twice. Don't you think Santa should have upgraded his technology yet? Santa emails. Electronic censoring of behavior of some sorts? No new songs or carols of Santa keeping up via emails or web cams yet...

Another thought, do other parent's use Santa as leverage against bad behaviors? Because I'm guilty of it. I am so guilty of it. I'm riding it for as as long as I can. JC better believe in Santa for many years to come...

This year, I have informed JC of "Santa cams" that are around the house, which are in direct feed to the North Pole. Why just the other day, JC was giving mom a hassle about brushing his teeth. Clever mom I am, looked out the hallway and said, " Santa, are you seeing this? Tell the tooth fairy too!" The boy's teeth were quickly brushed without question after that.

A few weeks went by and JC has declared that the hallway light outside of his room, is in fact, a Santa cam. So if you stop by and see him talking to the light, no worries, he's normal, I swear.

The First declared santa cam:

Then a 7 year old sassy mouth started to come into play just the other night. One look up to the an imaginary "Santa cam" by mom, and all attitude stopped. I don't want Christmas to come. I want this power forever... What can I use next? He totally won't go for Santa cams in February!

So on our way out of the garage this evening, he looked at a sprinkler hanging on the wall, quickly gave it a tap and a closer inspection. "Mom, that's a Santa cam too!"

Well...I have my kids convinced that I have fiber-optic web cams all over the house, so I can see what they are doing when I am home or at work. A little paranoia never hurts :)

Gee are you clever! He is going to grow up needing therapy girl...NOT...I can hear it now while he is lying on the couch at age 21...Yes, Doctor, I have this fear of light fixtures and anything hanging from the ceiling or walls that looks like it could be a Santa Cam....

That is very clever. If you've seen the Polar Express then you know Santa has his elves watching the children's behavior year-round by camera. That ties in very well with the Santa cams in your house!

What a great idea. Hope you don't mind if I steal it. Katie

does Santa watch other things besides the kid's behavior? Just wondering. I'd say Santa watches 365...may be a little tough in June to convince the rug rats but it's worth a shot. i just tell Jack that Santa's omniscient..no cameras necessary.

Clever idea. Of course, when I was raising mine 30 years ago, I would have had to say Santa was somewhere taking Polaroids!

I am all for the Santa cams. Let them believe in him for years to come! But, seriously.....can I come over and steal the "washroom" sign? I am jealous and in love with it. I want one.
