Day 1 of 2008

Happy New Year!

It's a fresh start, a clean slate, it's 2008!

The Crooked Eyebrow's had a wonderful New Year's Eve full of yummy food, many mini martini's and an evening with great friends. Guitar Hero just made it even more exciting. We passed the hours and the guitar around, it was great. We rocked out 2007.

As I look around my house, I now see many things to do for this year. I'm hoping it's a year of de-cluttering, organization bliss and home improvements. I'm starting to realize that I feel over whelmed in my home, only because there are so many projects to be completed and no beginning point. I'm sure I'll share more as the months pass.

I also reapplied to some local colleges. I'm hoping to start taking a class this summer. One could hope. Haven gone down that beaten path before maybe this time there will be a follow through on my part. Since most of my science classes are now over 9 years old that are needed to complete my degree, I will now have to take A&P I and II, Microbiology and possibly Chemistry over. OH holy hell that's gonna suck. Not to mention more math. Algebra what? Oh no, I'm screwed.

As far as my job, I'm stuck for now, but there is a wound certification class I would like to attend, but have to save up the cold hard cash for that. Hopefully this new year will allow me to finally attend the class and get certified. Which in the end, will not raise my pay , but will pacify my personal career satisfaction. That in itself would be fantastic.

My family, is wonderful, only thing that would be better is if I could add another child. For now I just hope everyone stays happy and healthy.

Well, there is a lot to reflect upon, but dude, it's my turn at the Wii Guitar Hero III.

Look at this insane song, I can't even wrap my little head around how someone could do this, I can't get past welcome to the jungle.

I was a nursing major in college (didn't finish), and the thought of taking A & P and Chem again make me want to run and hide in my basement. And I hate my basement. It's where laundry is done and I also hate laundry, so there you go.

Sounds like a great goal...that organizing stuff. It's top on my list too. If you find the secret to doing it quickly and without wanting to strangle someone, let me know.

Happy New Year, darlin. I'm thinking mini martini's are the perfect way to ring in ANY year. Good luck with that math and science (ug!), but I'm hoping there's a new little munchkin in your near future for sure!!!! xo.

It's never too late to go back to school. I always say that time is going to pass no matter what you are doing so you might as well be doing something you want. Regret is horrible, if you can go back I say go for it. Almost bought a wii this year, but it was that or the utilities bill....damn heat and hotwater!!! i want my guitar hero...
