I'm on fire, but so chilly

Seeing how my Mexican trip is 20 days away or so, I had the bright idea of putting some color on my big chubby white ass. Ah yes, I went tanning.

It was a good idea at first...

I had to call of work because it hurts too bad to have clothes on. So I literally feel like my skin is on fire and I'm freezing cold on top of it.

Well, it seems that the lobster look isn't quite in this time of year and no I'm not naked blogging.

Anyone have aloe vera?

Oh no. Hope it gets better. I know for sure that I always think I look way skinnier when my fat is tan.

Oooohhhh...nothing worse than that first season's burn. Better feeling that now, than in Mexico, eh?

I'm so jealous. :o)

Steph is so right. You will feel fab, and you always have to get through the lobster stage to get to that tan skinny stage. No pain no gain, woman.

Mexico! I'm jealous.

And I've so been there before with the tanning and the hot/cold feeling.

Take it easy girl!

I'm heading out on a cruise in 29 days so thanks for reminding me about tanning.

How long were you on the bed? Did you have lotion on?

I never usually have a problem.

Oh no! That is no good at all. I hope that you recover from your burn quickly because there is nothing worse then the chills and burning.

Ouch, I'm sorry you're in pain but like others have already said, at least the initial sunburn is out of the way. Aloe is the best for it. I used a ton during radiation for the burn. CVS (I think you have them up north? I know they were in NY where I grew up) has a store brand that is great, natural with no additives or coloring. It's clear and in a tube. Hope that helps! Katie

aloe vera is good, but also try shaving cream, whipped cream, chocolate sauce, hot wax ...wait, what are we talking about?

You lucky girl you. That is, going to Mexico, not being burned by the tanning bed. Be careful with that fake bake stuff. I was a die hard tanner for the past 10 years and just recently had to give it up, but I have switched to the spray Mystic tans. They are awesome and look very natural. You'll pay a bit more, but in the long run it's so much safer.

Ouch! Oh, I hope you feel better soon.
Look at the bright side maybe you won't burn in Mexico now.

Why is it that we feel skinnier when tan? I used up all my aloe very last summer. Sorry.

OOh...been there girl. Try soaking in an alevero bath, cooler water of course. You could always get a spray tan a day or two before your trip...but take my advise, don't go get a pedicure right after a spray tan, cause it will come off when you put your feet in the water...my legs were half tanned afterwards...DuHH!

As always a fun read and so sorry about that tanning thing - hope you'll feel better in time for your trip.

Your blog is awesome.... I have to say that tanning can be relaxing... But the burn you can get is not like any you have had before! There is nothing like being able to put on your underwear! I would have called off as well!
