Crooked Eyebrow did Chicago

I did manage not to get lost in Chicago as I had originally feared!

Let me just say, I love Chicago.

After getting off of the train I found a starbucks to sit in before my appointment, it was there I realized how much I love to sit and watch people. Couples would walk by and I couldn't help but wonder what they were talking about. I would play out their conversations in my head and secretly snicker as I sipped my coffee. Then the business women would walk by, all prim and proper with flip-flops on. Really, flip-flops?

Next was millennium park for some photos. Here I took some obligatory photos of the cloud gate or the bean.

As I was taking photos I heard the most angelic voices coming from the garden. A full orchestra and opera singers were performing. If time had allowed, I would have sat there all day, drinking lemonade and laying in the grass. Beautiful I tell ya, beautiful. This is just another reason I love Chicago.

Another favorite in the park, the fountain. I love watching all the children pounce around in the water. Oh to be a child again...

Soon it was time for my appointment and I met the most amazing doctor. I loved her. I was telling her of my story of my weight watcher counselor from hell and she simply said "I would have told her to bite me". Hello? I wanted to kiss her right there on the spot. Just another thing I loved about Chicago, the doctor, have I said I loved her yet?

Doctor's appointment done and off shopping I went. I stopped at Macy's to pet the coach purses. If I had my credit card with me I would have purchased. They were speaking to me. Taunting me on how gorgeous they felt and how awesome they as purses would look in my hand. I passed but I think a tear was shed.

Across the street I went to Nordstrom's Rack and Heaven was found. Why? Because as I said before I have no luck when it comes to dressing my very large feet. I wear a 11 1/2 in most shoes and I stumbled upon the best shoe selection I have ever been in front of. Seriously. Multiple racks of shoe bliss. My heart thumped. Yet another reason why I love Chicago.

Unfortunately my time was running short at this point and back to the train I was headed. It was the perfect day for Crooked Eyebrow. Photo opportunities, music in the park, medical questions answered, shoe shopping and a great city to watch.

I wanna go back. Like now, an takers for a day trip?
Holla!

Chicago is Wicked Awesome in Spring, Summer and Fall, and some distinct days in winter if you dress appropriately!

I love Chicago too. A one-of-a-kind city. Unfortunately, now that Jen lives in the 'burbs, I don't get downtown very often. You've inspired me -- I'm going to make it a point to visit downtown again soon. Thanks for the inspiration!

Aww, so glad you had fun!!

We actually have been promising KJ that he could run through the fountains at Millenium Park for some time now, and finally made plans to do it later this week. I hope we get some sort of opera or something!! ;o)

Also, so happy to hear that you made your train in time to head back home.
