Watching the leaves dance.

On this crisp fall afternoon the smell of apple pies baking fills the room and I sit in total amazement of how fast this year has gone by. Unfortunately my only thought is how restricted this year felt, unable to accomplish any of my personal goals. Then the winds begin to blow, sending all the leaves in motion, diverting my attention towards the window. Oh how I love to watch the leaves dance. They move me...

Listening to the rustling leaves while the wind howls brings a sense of calmness and inspiration to me. As I watch the colored leaves tumble over each other,I can only think of them finally being free. After months confined to one tree, one branch, they are now free.

Free to dance. Free to tumble. Free. Just how I want to be...

PS- have you ever heard about how farmers leave their land fallow for one year, letting it rest and not produce any crop so that it can be plentiful the next year? Maybe this has been your fallow year- just think about the amazing things to come.

Your post is a poem... a beautiful and introspective poem.

I love Steph's sentiments on it being a fallow year. Wow. That's so deep.

And Sharon is right. This post is truly poetic.

I hope you enjoy this fall and all the dancing leaves. I know I am.

XOXOX!

oh i love the new spin to leaves you have spun for me, I never thought of them breaking free of the constraints of the same tree all summer long.

Hmmm, thanks! :)

I am sure you have accomplished a great deal this year. You probably even accomplished some goals that you didn't even realize you set. Think about all the people you helped when you went away this summer. You are free. Free to choose. So choose to dance!!

Beautiful! Would you believe, I sat at the window too on Sunday watching the leaves dancing across the street....I could have had blog material, if I were only as creative as you.
