crunch time

It wasn't until this week, mostly because people keep saying "any day now", that I started getting nervous about Miss "e" coming into our lives.

If you looked in our house right now, obviously past the kitchen remodel, you could not tell that we are expecting a baby in less than 7 weeks. Nothing is ready. Nothing. At this point with JC I was nesting and walking around in his prepped and ready to go nursery. I used to sit in the middle of his floor and imagine what it would feel like to me a mommy, his mommy.

Now I know what it's like to be a mommy, but not to a girl, nor to a second child. I would be lying if I said I am doubting my abilities to mother two children, be a wife and a full time nurse. It's gonna be hard. So very hard. Just thinking about going back to work stresses me out.

So 7 weeks to go, no crib up, no room painted, no clothes or blankets washed. Thankfully her bedding set has finally shipped after 6 weeks and I think once I open that, pick room colors and get things in motion all will be well. I hope. Me and stress don't mix well, especially about 8 months pregnant. It's crunch time...

well at least we did decide on a name, it could be worse...

I am currently 34 weeks pregnant with my third child (my daughters are 3 and 5) and I want to thank you so much for your honesty! I am totally freaking out about how I will handle three children and work. I teach kindergarten and the beginning of the year is NOT the best time to have a baby. The whole pregnancy I have been calm, but now I feel so worried that I won't be able to handle it all. Although I have most of the baby's things ready, we don't know the sex, so technically we don't really have any clothes for him/her. We also don't have any idea what we are going to do with our children when I go into labor. Thanks for letting me know I'm not the only pregnant mommy who's feeling nervous at this point! BTW, LOVE the bedding!

Janine-
Even though we are totally freaking out, I'm sure everything will work out just fine. Our mommy mode will kick in and the rest will be history.

I too, have no idea what we are going to do for child care!

Phew, I thought I was the only one lagging in that!

I finished law school 2 weeks before my due date.
NOTHING was ready.
I just kept saying "well, the baby has a place to sleep, diapers and a food source...the rest we'll just have to make do, right?" :)
You're going to do great.
And her bedding is super cute!

Target has the cutest girl things! Don't forget Erin has a bunch of Ivy's girly things for you, too. I also have a white cradle you can use if you would like for your bedroom? Let me know!

It will all fall into place. You'll do just fine. I can't wait to find out what E stands for.

You'll get it done! I was so stressed because I had that class up until the week before my due date, but Tommy was nice enough to wait not only until I got the house in order, but until I had my hair and toes done, too. I am sure Miss E will be as kind to you!

So.....I'm not a mom, nor am I pregnant, but I have a feeling that everything is going to fall into place! And her bedding is gorgeous :)

I'm kinda in the same boat, my nesting hasn't really kicked in and I kinda need it too. I just want to nap all the time!

I know you will get it all done and it will be wonderful for your sweet little "E!" : )
