Mr. CE says I'm huge and this week I would have to agree. My skin is so tight it hurts when I bend at the waist now. I'm a balloon that is ready to pop.
Currently as I type I am 36.6 weeks along.
I can't believe my pregnancy is almost over. It seem just like yesterday on that bitter January evening that I darted into Walgreens and ducked out of there with 2 tests. I felt foolish. Foolish that I really thought I was pregnant and that I would only have wasted another $20 on tests that were surely going to come up negative. Because that is how it always happened. Until we made Miss E, it was a good new years after all....
2009! Who knew I would spend the majority of it pregnant. Not I!
So this week has been full of swollen ankles, trips to the bathroom every half hour, painful muscle pulls on my upper abdomen, the beginning of sleepless nights and the continuation of Miss E's rocking pouch party.
Week 37 here we come and our first "dilation check" on Monday as well. I wanted her to bake longer, but I now have to say that I am ready to see her. Just the other morning dad touched my belly andasked, "Is that her butt?" and then continued to squeeze ever so cutely while repeating "baby butt, baby butt, baby butt" all while having a cute daddy grin. At that moment, I was ready for her to come, so not only I can see her, but so I can see her with daddy and big brother too.
