the one time I tried to take my kids photos...

Now that I have three children, I figured I would definitely need a new photo for our Christmas cards, right? Sure. What I was not prepared for was just how difficult it would be to snap at least one good shot.

I needed a stiff drink after this endeavor, I am not even kidding.
{I am totally sure the lack of sleep didn't help.}

"Miss E, do not lay on the baby"

Mom is not the only crooked eyebrow in the house...

"Miss E, brother doesn't need help smiling!"

"Miss E, stop spitting!"

Finally after what seemed to be 4 hours, when it was only 20 minutes., I did capture one or two...

{not the official photo, but close}
Next year I pay someone else or take a shot first.

*i totally kid about the drinking, promise

LOL! We have friends who have three girls who are very close in age and they just totally give up and send out the craziest photo every year, with kids climbing on parents and everyone laughing and making funny faces. :) So if taking shots before the photo shoot next year doesn't work, you have a backup plan. :)

I totally understand your frustration. Try doing it with 13 ranging in age from 19 months to 59years and the big guy is just as difficult as the little guys. Lucky for us, we finally got the shot. I think we took 35 or so.
